Food was good, ingredients were fresh, the balls were handmade and tastes really flavorful! Soup was also very cheng.. As for parking, it was easy if you parked opposite Eam Huat at the office outlets there, got MBPP parking lots

The best place to go if you crave for the traditional steam boat in Penang. Good varieties of homemade and fresh steam boat ingredients. The condiment their homemade chilly sauce is awesome to go with the food. Highly recommended

Really enjoyed this old-school charcoal hotpot place in Penang! The soup base gets more flavorful the longer it cooks. We ordered a set plus some ala carte dishes, and the table was full in no time. Their signature stuffed tofu and crispy fish skin are a must-try. Perfect spot for family or friends to gather, especially on a rainy evening.

If you love old world style Chinese family steamboat (the classic variety ala Chinese New Year style, enjoyed by countless generations in years gone by), then this place (ensconced in the bustling heart of the Jelutong area) is definitely for you!!! 5-stars for doing steamboat in an old school charcoal heated pot, which is the best way to get a smoky and umami flavour in the simmering soup. 5-stars also for the excellent top quality ingredients, made up of in-house prepped fish, meat and prawns balls, premium quality seafood (we opted for sliced grouper fish meat & lala/sea clams), fresh mushrooms, vegetables and fried tofu/beancurd. This shop has been in business for at least 4 decades, so by this fact alone, you know the steamboat will be delicious in the way that only steamboat restaurants with a long pedigree can provide!!! .

The food and service are great, with all the ingredients being very fresh. It’s a little hot, but definitely worth it (can bring your own mini fan). The staff are attentive and helped adjust the fan to make it more comfortable.

Traditional charcoal steamboat. Very reasonably priced. Food was fresh. We loved the fried fish skin, too!

Food is as expected. Good service.. parking is a bit of a challenge. Price reasonable. A bit more ventilation would be good as heat from charcoal adds to the typical hot climate in Penang.
